Language to Express Care & Concern
Special COVID-tips:
- People feel isolated, use language that creates a sense of belonging and togetherness
- Try to avoid “I” and focus on using collective language (e.g. “Here’swhat our team is facing”)
Example language to use:
- We know this is a tough time
- We are in an extraordinary time
- Our hearts go out
- I wish statements:
- I wish things were different
- I wish we had more
- We will do everything we can
- We are here for you
- Our primary concern is
- It is our hope that
- We want to share
- We are deeply grateful for your support
- We’re listening
- We are deeply saddened (use: if an employee passes away)
